Regional Air Quality Council Appoints New Executive Director
The Regional Air Quality Council has appointed Michael Silverstein as its new executive director.
The Council is the lead agency for air quality planning for the Denver/North Front Range region and works to improve air quality in the area.
Silverstein comes to the Council after a 26-year career with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), where he most recently served as the administrator for both the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission and the Colorado Solid and Hazardous Waste Commission. Prior to that, Silverstein served as deputy director and policy and planning program manager for the Air Pollution Control Division at CDPHE.
Silverstein succeeds Ken Lloyd, who recently retired as the Council’s executive director after 28 years at the helm.
