Shantanu Jathar

Shantanu Jathar is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU). Since 2015, his research group at CSU has leveraged laboratory experiments, field measurements, and numerical models to study the emissions, evolution, properties, and impacts of fine particles (or aerosols) arising from energy and combustion sources. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Government College of Engineering Pune in India, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. Additionally, he also worked as a postdoctoral scholar in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California Davis.
