Repair Your Air
The Problem
High-polluting vehicles pose a major challenge to efforts to reduce air pollution in the region. Mobile sources account for about a third of all ozone-causing pollutants so finding and repairing vehicles that emit the largest amounts of pollution is going to help the area in its overall effort to reduce ground-level ozone. We need to give owners of high-emitters a real incentive to significantly reduce emissions.
The Program
The RAQC works with several partners to help fund repairs for vehicles that qualify for the State of Colorado’s High Emitter Identification Program. Financial assistance valued at more than $715 is available to citizens whose vehicles fail the on-road emissions test. Vehicles must be recommended into the program by the State’s Technicians or the Department of Revenue.
