SIP Chapters Presented to the Air Quality Control Commission
Below are the elements of the Denver Metro/North Front Range SIP submittal under both the 2008 and 2015 8-Hour Ozone Standards.
The 2008 Severe NAAQS SIP and 2015 Moderate SIP were prepared and submitted together, approved by the RAQC Board on August 5, 2022 and but for a few chapters of the Severe SIP, were also approved by the Air Quality Control Commission on December 15, 2022. Prior to the AQCC Hearing several chapters were removed from consideration for approval due to a technical issue with the emission inventories. RAQC has worked with the Air Pollution Control Division and external experts to correct emission inventories as needed and created new modeling input files. The updated documents are below and will be submitted to the RAQC Board for consideration in July 2023 and forwarded to the AQCC in August for a new Hearing in December 2023.
The SIP was approved by the RAQC Board on August 5,2022 and by the Air Quality Control Commission on December 15, 2022.
