Reformulated Gasoline
Updated: September 3, 2024Gasoline that is refined and blended to burn more efficiently and cleanly in motor vehicles, reducing smog-forming and toxic pollutants in the air. It is mandated by the 1990 Clean Air Act amendments in ozone nonattainment areas that are classified as Severe and higher on the CAA classification structure.
