Enessa Janes

Enessa Janes, PhD, AICP is a certified planner with over 15 years of experience advancing climate resilient and adaptive communities in Colorado and the Mountain West. Dr. Janes has served a variety of public and private organizations during her career including FEMA, the City of Arvada, and The Asia Foundation where she focused on community health, policy, and climate equity challenges. Dr. Janes holds a Ph.D. in Planning and Design from the University of Colorado, an M.S. in Science Communication from Stanford University and a B.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University. She serves on the Regional Air Quality Council as a representative of the public interest. Her term expires April 30, 2027.
