Colorado AQCC Adopts Zero-Emission Vehicle Standards

Published: August 16, 2019

Following three days of testimony, on Aug. 16th the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission approved a new Colorado zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) program. The new rules were brought to the Commission by a coalition of State agencies and the auto manufacturing industry. This action makes Colorado the 10th state to adopt California’s Zero-Emission Vehicle program, which further advances the rapid electrification of the vehicle fleet. The RAQC’s support for the program was appreciated as we stressed the emissions reductions and increased consumer choice that are anticipated. Here is an article in the Colorado Sun about the announcement, including a quote from the RAQC.
