The RAQC issues alerts beginning June 1st through August 31st on days when State meteorologists forecast the potential for elevated ground-level ozone pollution.  Alerts are issued at 4:00 p.m. and can remain in effect for various amounts of time (i.e., through midnight, through 4:00 p.m. the next day, etc).
